A Hebraic View of Scripture: What is Written on your Doorpost?

What is written on your doorpost? Although this might sound like an odd question, it becomes central to our faith in light of the command to write God's word "on the doorposts of your house, and on your gates" (Deuteronomy 6:9). Linked with the Great Command to "love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your strength," the passage addresses the subject of identity. As ancient tradition looks to the Torah as the foundation of Jewish identity, this teaching explores the Hebraic view of scripture as our framework for understanding the world, and forming our identity in Messiah by which we can stand faithful in the midst of the present darkness.
