Messiah in the Feast of Pentecost

Messiah in the Feast of Pentecost

Shavuot (the Feast of Weeks, also known as Pentecost) is an ancient Hebrew holiday celebrating the first major wheat harvest of the year. This holiday also commemorates the giving of the Law to Israel on Mt. Sinai on the first Shavuot following the Exodus from Egypt. It is no small coincidence that God chose this festival to inaugurate the New Covenant by pouring out his Ruach Kodesh (Holy Spirit) on Shavuot following the crucifixion and resurrection of Messiah. This message explores the ancient holiday, with continued  significance for us today.
